NBSA Umpires

NBSA is looking for candidates interested in umpiring in Northville.

No umpiring experience is necessary, however prior baseball/softball experience and or knowledge a plus.  Over the course of the 2-day clinic, prospective umpires gain an understanding of the rules of baseball/softball, learn proper positioning and umpire technique, and upon successful completion of a written and skill assessment, are given equipment for the upcoming season.

Umpires meet on a bi-weekly basis during the season, usually on Sunday nights for additional training sessions, schedule and payroll disbursement. Individuals should be at least 14 years old to umpire. If under 14, they would be considered with a recommendation from an NBSA board member, coach, or umpire supervisor.
